First it was O Ya…

Now Speeds Hot Dogs…The Wall Street Journal’s national search included some venerable dogs, Pink’s, Hot Doug’s and more. But the best hot dog was right here in Roxbury!

I remember when Eddy Andelman had a hot dog survey…don’t recall if Speed’s was included. I, for one, feel the need to investigate this personally. My own Pink’s review seems to omit the Boston options. A ridonkulous omission given my love for the things and the legitimate reason to pig out on them…

I promise to do better. I’m very aware of the coming of Spring…the grilling public has a right to know, no?

Quick Hits on Dogs

  • New Yorkers consume more hot dogs than any other city – beating out Chicago and Los Angeles, but:
  • Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport consumes SIX times more hot dogs – 725,000 – than Los Angeles International Airport and LaGuardia Airport combined.
  • Americans will eat enough hot dogs at major league ballparks this year to stretch from RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. to AT&T Park in San Francisco.

One Response to “First it was O Ya…”

  1. My eldest daughter loves a good hot dog and is quick to say, “With no bread or ketchup or mustard. Just the meat.” She’s not even three yet and knows just how she likes it every time.
