This John C. Drake article in Today’s Boston Globe shows the city has made little progress. As I reported to you last August, the Globe exposed how weak our inspectional services were. I checked in again last October and there was still no updates to the site.

Here we are nearly a year later, and two food operations in city buildings failed. The good news is that inspections are actually being made and some violations posted on the site. I’m looking for a transparency that seems to work in California but is beyond the ken of our legislators. Or perhaps they were too busy recommending their own pay raises.

Anyway, if you want to check a particular restaurant or just who’s on the hot list for the past 30 days, you can go to this City site, called The Mayor’s Food Court. Yikes. Check out some of the violators. Ick.
